FAQ

Have a question? We have posted many common questions about The Mid-York Press, Inc. and its internal processes below. If your question is not answered in any of these FAQs, please contact us for further assistance.

  • HOW MANY COLORS CAN BE PRINTED IN ONE PASS?

Our offset presses can apply 6 colors (which include any 4 color process and spot color) in one pass. Also,  Aqueous, UV, Mold Inhibitor or Blister can be applied within the pass. The way our digital press works is a bit different. We can apply 4 colors (process/CMYK colors only) in a single pass. UV or Blister coating can be applied as well within the pass. The digital press allows us the ability to match most spot colors using 4 color process matte dry ink.

  • WHAT TYPES OF STOCK CAN BE USED IN A PRINT RUN?

We have relationships with many different companies where we can acquire most any stock that is needed, providing it fits the sheet size and thickness standards of our presses. We also inventory rolls of stock which we sheet in-house.

On a regular basis we offer SBS 1 & 2 side coated, Coated Recycled Board (CRB), text and cover stocks (coated and uncoated), as well as poly board.

    Offset press: 30pt. stock
