Computer Aided Package Design (CAPD)
The Mid-York Press, Inc. continues to strive towards excellence, and above all else, quality. With 35 years of design engineering, John Lawrence (our CAD designer), uses the latest in computer aided design systems. Your packaging idea is swiftly converted to a working sample that you can see and feel. If you have any necessary revisions, files are easily recalled and alterations can be made to ensure a speedy approval process. Dielines are transferred digitally to the diemaker who in turn makes the die with flawless accuracy and a very fast turn around of 3 to 5 days. The same file to make the die is used by the Pre-Press Department while imposing the approved PDF to match the die before the plating process. If the carton is to be printed digitally, a PDF is made of the carton and it is sent directly to the iGen150 for the proof approval process.
